Suburban Oven in Solaire won't stay lit

We have a brand new Solaire and took it camping over the New Year weekend. We had no issues with the furnace or stove top but the oven wouldn't stay lit! It would lit, we'd place what was to be baked in the oven and then 15 minutes the flame would be out. Is this normal? I'm worried about propane leaks. Advice please!

Sounds like the flame sensor (thermalcouple) is either not set properly or has failed. Either way it should be a quick easy warranty fix by your dealer. No worries about gas leaks, without it working the gas valve locks down

I had this issue on a used trailer. It seems that when it heated to the set temperature and started scaling back gas flow to keep from heating hotter than the set temperature, it would scale back too much and all flames would go out. I contacted the manufacturer and the tech told me my orifice was too small (he'd seen the problem many times). He sent me a new part free of charge and I installed it myself with great results.

I have a similar issue except I can't get the burners to light at all. The pilot light starts and heats the thermocouple to temperature but as soon as I release the knob the pilot light goes out.

In my case Suburban won't release the parts unless they're going to a licensed propane tech.

Mr. Dan is correct. I just had mine replaced this week. There should have been a factory recall.

Had the same issue and mine TT is at the dealer waiting for replacement part. Hope to get it back early this week.

I know this is an old thread but I had a similar problem with my Suburban oven on our new 33IK. In my search I did not find the solution that I came up with.

My pilot would light and then I could turn the oven temp up. It would start heating but then go out, no pilot light.

I noticed the pilot flame was just a little to the left of the thermocouple. I was sure it was close enough but evidently it was not once the flame came on. There must be some thermo-dynamic action going on that draws the heat away from the thermocouple.

I fixed this problem by carefully bending the pilot light gas tube to the right so the pilot flame was directly under the thermocouple. Works like a charm now.
