Suburban oven will not stay lit/maintain temp.

I have a brand new Surburban SRSA3 oven factory installed in my brand new camper. It is important to note that all the other gas appliances in the camper have been tested and work great. The stovetops burners, propane fridge, gas water heater, external grill, and the furnace all work great (we've been boondocking and testing them all!) Now the problem: The pilot will light, I hold in the pilot lighter for a full 30 seconds after lighting until it glows. The pilot will remain on. That is, until you start the oven. Once the oven is started, the burner comes on just fine. However when the set temperature is reached, the main burner shuts off and blows out the pilot light when it does.

I'm guessing I got a bum oven and quality control over at Surburban just isn't all it should be. Anything I should try before performing the laborious task of bringing it to the dealer and taking time off for an annoyance I shouldn't be dealing with in a 3 month old camper?

Had the same situation. The pilot lite position is to close to the burner. When you turn the knob to light the burner it lights ok. The problem is when it comes time to cycle to maintain the temp. the pilot light gets blown out when it tries to light the burner then the oven cools down.

Had the same problem in my 2014 Heritage Glen. Dealer ended up replacing the entire burner assembly after two visits to repair the problem. First visit they just replaced the thermocouple.....that didn't work. Since it was repaired, it has worked well since.

I have had the same issue with my 2016 Cedar Creek suburban oven, I had the thermal coupler replace under warranty. The stove now stays lit and will reach operating temps.

I had the same issue. My fix was a simple adjustment to the thermal couple. It wasn't aligned properly with pilot light so it wasn't heating up which caused the gas flow to turn off.

Suburban Stove

Had exactly the same problem in our 2015 Flagstaff V-Lite. It has been at the dealers awaiting parts since last September. They phoned just prior to Christmas to say that the parts had finally arrived and that it was fixed under warranty. Picking it up after Jan. 4th so can't attest that it is working right now. Only posting this to point out that it appears to be a common problem.

I have a 2014 Rockwood 8282sw and have had similar and other problems with the Suburban stove. They tried all kind of fixes but problems reoccurred. They finally replaced the oven. Tech told us there is probably a defect with the ovens but since the majority of RVers use the oven as a breadbox, the problems are not brought to their attention. It's under warranty, have them change it or fix it. Bit inconvenient but worth it in the long run. Ours works great now. If I had a choice of ovens, I would go for an Atwood (had one for 7 years without a problem.)
