Suburban Stove model SRNA3LBBE
We have a Suburban Stove model SRNA3LBBE in our 2014 Rockwood. The centre stove burner valve seized. We took out the valve to see if we could repair it (it is only held onto the manifold with one screw). Model #161244 is stamped on the valve (you can forget about this number as it does not exist anywhere). We called Suburban and Forest River and were told that we cannot just buy the valve but most buy the whole manifold kit (model 521103) for $124 + shipping. We have looked on-line and found most burner valves sell for approx $13 but we cannot find one matching ours. One RV tech told us that this is a common problem with the Surburban stoves as you should not put large pots or skillet on the front burner as this will seize up the valve. He told us that he has had to replace several hundred seized burner valves. Funny, we were not advised of this nor does any brochure mention this. Basically what I am looking for is anybody that has a used valve for this model or knows where I can get a salvaged part. We uploaded pictures of the valve. The last picture shows all the burner valves and the manifold. Thank you for any assistance that you can provide.

I could be mistaken but I seem to remember a while back when I was looking for a replacement Suburban stove top, the entire stove top assembly wasn't much over 130 bucks complete.
Pretty cheaply made too. I had to add rubber grommets to mine to keep it from rattling.

The whole top assembly (manifold and three valves plus oven valve) is $124 but all I want is one burner valve. I should not have to be made to purchase everything else that is working fine.

Try contacting Bontrager's Surplus Inc, White Pigeon, MI, 269-483-7017. I was there last summer and he has just about anything you can think of for RVs. He prices are great also. Ever in Elkart,Ind he is just across the boarder in Mi. Also while there be sure to go to the Gaint Flea Market in Shipshewanna, Ind. There is full hookup sites right at the flea market. Also a great Dinner Show place within walking distance.

They do have a lot of 'stuff' there. We go by ocassionally. My wife has a thing for Shipshe and we live close enough, it's an afternoon car trip. Never took an RV out that way however, just too close for us.
I recommend Essen House for dinner. Great food.

I may get a lot of grief from this, but being a retired propane service tech of 30 years I would remove the two screws holding the valve together and find some low temp gas valve grease and re-lube it.

....and I bet any local propane distributor will be happy to give you a smear too. They use it all the time on tank valves. Propane is dry by nature. They squeak and seize. (I don't know nothing........... )

Removed the two screws and even the centre screw but was unable to able to apply grease. I even tried a bit of WD40 to try and remove centre but without any luck. It seems to be really stuck in there.

The valve is a tapered cone sealed with grease. If you have removed the screws and steel cap retaining the index ring and spring, and the cone will not come out, try applying a little heat on the body to expand it and try pulling the cone out then. I just can not imagine that it has gotten that stuck with out some other damage visible. The center screw you removed is the low fire adjustment, once you get the cone unstuck and greased and reassembled, you will have to readjust the low fire setting.

An RV tech told us it was excessive heat from using a large pot on the front burner that probably seized the valve. The centre screw was screwed in tightly before I unscrewed it so I don't believe I will have to readjust it when putting it back in. I will try to heat up the valve and see if I can pull out the centre and will let you know the results.

Sorry for the delay in replying. Unfortunately it did not work. Valve is still seized. There was one burner valve (161190) that might fit the bill but the majority of RV techs told me it would not fit yet it looked exactly like the one I had. I will probably have to bite the bullet and buy the whole manifold kit.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help me with this. I did bite the bullet and bought the manifold. I took off the part I needed and installed it on the stove and everything works fine now. I will keep the rest as spare parts in case something else goes wrong. Again, thank you.

Marcel, I have the same model oven as you and think that my oven thermostat control is bad because there is no gas going to the pilot light, even after checking all of the lines. The burners work fine. How much would you want for it?
