surround sound

I am extremely "challenged" when it comes to electronics and stereos and the like.........Question---is there any way to get my TV to play the sound through the surround sound speakers ? I have a 2012 Sanibel 3400

Yes you have to pull your stereo out and wire from aux in to your tv out

don't have a stereo, just a dvd player........is it the same principal? TV shows having surround sound and I do have it on that setting

As long as as there is audio in puts in the DVD player

told ya I was "challenged" ! ! ! ! pulled everything , found there was an audio wire from tv to dvd player........hmmmmmmmmm turned on the dvd went through 'functions' found tv/cable turned up the volume ----------wa la--------instant surround sound ! ! had it all the time and had no clue ! ! Thanks for your help
