My 2012 Wildcat 30RL has the Jensen 970 stereo installed. I see speakers on the ceiling of the living room. I also see that the TV's external left and right audio ports are hooked up. I assume this unit has surroundsound. If so how do I get it?

Welcome to the forum!

I don't have a Wildcat, but I'm sure the set-up is similar. Shut off the TV's internal speakers through the audio section of the TV menu. Select the proper input/band on the Jensen. On my Rockwood, the TV plays through the AV1 input on the Concertone. The Wildcat may use a different input, but there's only a few to try.

If it's like my Jensen, the TV is not hooked up for surround. The DVD and stereo play in digital. You have to pull the stereo forward to be able to hook another set of cables(mine were included) from the Aux-in on the stereo to the audio out of the TV. Then select aux to listen to the tv.

I'm pretty sure the 970 is not surround sound capable. Just regular stereo. Specs are on On mine, the rca cables going from the tv to the stereo were for the DVD player. I had to run my own wires from the tv audio out to to Jensen audio in on the back of the unit. To listen to the tv through the speakers on the ceiling, I have to select the aux 1/2 button on the Jensen.
