Table grill conversion

When I convert my gas grill from throw away canisters to a 20 pound tank, do I need to add a regulator or will the one that is on the grill be all I need?

You should not need a regulator. I run a Coleman stove, lantern and a Big Buddy Heater off either a 20# tank or 1 pound cans. You might get an inline filter though. Keeps stuff from coming out of the hose and into your appliance.
