The saga continues! The Dish tech was of no help - Jersey Boy was - from across the country! I did what he said - connected the receiver directly to the tailgater - voila! We have TV. The wiring in our CC is not right - yes, I tried all the connections. DW came up with a possible solution, since putting the cable through a window isn't conducive to retaining heat! I'm going to install a coax box on the exterior of the slide behind the entertainment system, with an aesthetically pleasing box. Whadday think?

Without knowing exactly what wiring you have, I'm guessing you have only one incoming cable with a jack on the side of your trailer. If so, you can do this modification. It works great, and allows you to use either your satellite or park cable by simply making a change of connections at the inside wall plate. Basically, the mod takes your incoming cable and separates it off, away from the antenna power supply. So it becomes just a plain cable available for you to hook to. Then, when you want to use park cable TV instead, you connect a short jumper cable across the front of the plate to connect the incoming cable back to where it was originally hooked from the factory. I've done this mod, and used it with a tailgater. It works.

FR has just started doing a version of this on the Sunseeker Class Cs.

My Silverback had two connection for satellite on the wall plate near the television. One is for a pre-wired roof top satellite and the other is for a ground based satellite dish. Are you sure you are connected to the right one?
