tailgater dish hook up

wow just spent the day trying to figure out the hook up for our new tailgater by dish . tried to hook the dish to both connections labeled satellite my coach is satellite wired no luck . I then just took the dish wire through the window and hooked the receiver right to the tv it worked so i know that the tailgater works . Ok back to the coach got my multi tester out and the side of the box labeled cable not main was the top plug in the stereo cabinet white wire the gray wire bottom runs to the bedroom lower plug and im not sure where the top white wire in the bedroom goes . So plug the tailgater in the outside plug labeled cable inside the satellite plug door . plug the receiver in the top plug in the living room and use a dmhi cable to the tv good to go . oh ya this is on a cardinal 3727re . If any one has a idea how to get the picture to the bedroom from here let me know thanks

That is intresting. Currently my Tailgater which I have had for two years will only work if I bring the cable thru a window and plug it into the receiver. It did work, at one time, using the SAT on the outside and into the receiver. I will try the cable inlet. Thank You

no problems with ours...

Our Tailgater works well via the SAT hookup on the outside. Sorry you are having these troubles. Hopefully you will figure something out soon.

I have the same problem with my tailgater connection, the problem is a splitter located in the wiring and the tailgater needs power from the receiver to work and so the power will not flow thru a splitter. I located the sat. cable under the living room slide and spliced into this cable, this is where I connect my sat. cable for the TV in the living room, for the bedroom I connect to my sat cable comin in thru the storage compartment and up next to the water supply for the toilet. The people who designed this sat. wiring have never had to connect a TV.

Just talked to the Dish Tailgater tech and the splitter must be AFTER the box (receiver) as that's where it gets it power. He also stressed the handle must always be pointed North.

Sounds to me like the outside hook ups are mislabeled. Cable is sat and visa versa.
