Tailgater or Normal Dish?

A few questions. This is for a permanent site in Florida, well I plan on it being permanent if the campground stays the same and I don't get ran off.

Trying to decide on whether to get a tailgater and put it on a ladder mount ($450 for gater and receiver and $185 for ladder mount is $735) or just get a 1000.2 dish and mount it to my ladder with one of these:

from rvlights.com. It clamps on the ladder

Whatever I do I need it off the ground since I have a very active labrador retriever. Plus I don't really worry about theft where I'm at but it would deter that if I'm not there for a month or so.

I can probably do the dish 1000.2 and receiver for under $200 easy. Whichever way I go I'll be bringing another 211 receiver from home while I'm there for bedroom and outside, plan on moving it and the tv back and forth and leaving the other receiver hooked up to living room tv all the time.

What with saving $500 the answer seems pretty obvious but I wonder if I'm missing something?

Wife and I have talked and don't think we need satellite for our other trailer which we use local and take trips with so we don't need the tailgater for that and mobility seems to be it's main selling point.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

If your stationary just use the regular dish.
