I would like to keep it on the roof because it would be out of the way and a clear view to the sky. Has anyone mounted their dish to the roof and how does that work? Thanks.
I also have a tailgater and found a ladder mount at Makarios RV Parts I believe out of Indianna. Works very well and is lockable.

I have a tripod mount from camping world that they sell for the portable satellite for my Tailgater.

I have had the tripod now for 5 years and never had any issues with this tripod mount. I use a bungee cold with a ground screw to secure the tripod and than a length of cable with two locks to prevent the tripod and satellite from walking off.
