Television reception

TV worked fine at my last stop using the antenna. I can't get reception at my current stop. My neighbor has good reception in his rig. We are traveling together so I am sure he is not cable. We have no cable here. He has an older style antenna which he has to raise. I have a stationary antenna.

He may have an amplifier on the coax coming from his antenna. Huge difference. It doesn't take much to reduce the reception of over-the-air tv signals.

the ability to raise and turn antenna in the direction of the signal source is a huge factor... along with an antenna amplifier... even the make/model of TV is a factor and it's ability to show weak signals on the screen

make/buy/borrow a long 20-50 feet antenna jumper/extension wire and hook to his antenna with your TV and do some comparisons... should be able to buy something like that at Wally world

make sure you have scanned for channels on the digital tuner first
