Thermostats

I have a 2012 Crossroads Slingshot with a Dometic Duo-Therm single zone Thermostat. I think i had a power spike and my Tstat is giving an E1 error code.
When i came back to my trailer the next week, both my A/C & Furnace were cycling on and off without any control.
I did some research and found out that sometimes when this happens, they will both revert to their previous settings after losing contact with the Tstat.
I cut all power to the trailer including the battery but still doing the same thing.
Also checked all of the breakers and fuses that i could see.
Is it possible that the relay box has been fried?

Thanks
John

Thermostat 12v?

I removed the Suburban propane furnace and wire nutted all the wires to the furnace. Then I at the 12v panel I removed the fuse and disconnected the 12v circuit to the furnace because the label on that fuse said “furnace”.

But now there is no power to the t-stat and I am not able to turn on the air conditioner. Could that “furnace” circuit include power to the t-stat? There is a 120v circuit breaker to power the A/C which I have turned on.

My question is if I reconnect the 12v fuse panel will that send power to t-star, enabling the t-stat to turn on the A/C? Thanks for any help with this!

The thermostat and relays get power from the 12 volt fuse panel, so in all likelihood, the fuse feeding the furnace fuse also powers the thermostat.

You are absolutely correct! I went ahead and connected the 12v circuit that I had disconnected when taking out the furnace and it all worked fine. Thanks for responding!
