Just bought 2018 flagstaff 5th wheel w a Dometic 9cu ft frig. Wife and I have the hardest time opening the door. Latches seem to be designed wrong.Even salesman had a hard time getting it to open. I hate when engineers try to fix things that are'nt broke. Never had a problem w our old 5th wheel frig . Are we crazy or getting weak in our OLD age ??
Herk here on the boards had the same issue when he got his Flagstaff last month, hopefully he will chime in on what they did to his at the Goshen rally

We had problems from the beginning with the handles on our Dometic fridge either sticking or not latching properly. When one finally broke I asked Forest River for a set and they sent them to me. Easy to replace and no issues with them now.
I think too many lookers on the dealer's lot probably messed ours up.
right hand frig door not staying latched while traveling. As when making the right hand turn the door opens with contents on the floor rolling about. Not happy campers. Why is that we double checked on next trip out and still occurred?
