TT component issues

Someone can chime in if they like. From what I understand, is that components such as refrigerators etc. are covered by manufacture warranty, not FR. Dealers will go to Dometic etc. for repairs. So someone with ref. issues should be able to go to anyone that is an authorized repair center. Right/wrong. I think that the manufacture is only responsible for the structural part of a TT.

If it really worked that way. Maybe if traveling far from home. Sounds like If you did not buy from us, maybe we can fit you in or just plain no.

That is the case AFTER the one year manufacturer's warranty has expired.

FR will cover everthing for the 1st year. After that the appliance manufacturer will cover the item for the balance of their warranty. I have had no issues bypassing FR and going directly to the appliance manufacturer druing the inital 1 year warranty to have then send replacement items/parts etc.
If FR covers the repair/part during the 1st year they bill the orginal manufacturer for the work internlly.
In the end the warranty is from the appliance manufacturer not FR. Most manufacturers are easier and quicker to work with than FR as well.

When we first got our TT, the a/c quit within a day of leaving selling dealer. Bought in Ohio, live in Arkansas. We were in Memphis when it quit.

Got home, called nearest dealer, same o same o, don't sell that brand so we don't warranty it.

Called dometic, told them our problem, suggested same dealer I had called.

Called dealer again, started the didn't sell song and dance again. Told them that dometic said they were an authorized dealer and that they should fix it.

Long story short, took next day and got it back the day later. Call the appliance manufacturer and get the closest authorized dealer.
