TT Thermostat

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and sorry if this has been covered already. I have a Rockwood Mini-Lite 1905 with a Suburban heating/cooling thermostat and want to change it out with a digital one. Any suggestions?

Any battery type will work , such as Honeywell, or even hunter. You should be able to get it at Lowe's for about 21 bucks.

I'm not sure you can just replace it with any ole digital thermostat.
Tell us the model of your existing thermostat and/or post a picture of it.

X2. I replaced the analog Suburban in my Roo 19 with a Honeywell RTH111B. It only controlled the furnace. I also replaced the Coleman-Mach in my Mini Lite with a Honeywell RTH111B; it controlled both furnace and ducted AC. They also make a programmable version, Model #RTH221.

If your AC is controlled by the T-stat (as opposed to ceiling controls) your AC probably has 2 fans speeds, but the Honeywell only handles one speed, so you have to either add a switch to chose fan speed or just pick one speed.

Note they DO make a plug and play digital version of the Coleman-Mach for about $50-60, Comes in black and white:

The Honeywell is about $25.

Coleman Mach to Honeywell wiring diagram attached. For Suburban furnace only, you'd only have two wires, red and white.

See post #11 here for more info (Note the PDF here is a newer version of the one in the link - new one sort of shows you what the T-stat is actually doing):
