Tuner Location

Ok, there has to be a tuner of some sort somewhere, right? If so, where is it? How can the TV get any picture at all if there isn't a tuner? I have an 07 Signature Ultra Light 8313. I like the camper but hate the fact I can't get any TV. The TV is by concertone too and doesn't even have a cable hook up..... frustrating. Any Ideas?

The concertone TV has a tuner in it but its not a digital one so you need a converter box
and most of the hook up are on the back of the set or just underneath

By my understanding, if you are hooked up to cable, then you don't need a digital tuner....most cable signals are analog.....that allows me to still use my analog TVs at home. If you are hooking up to your antennae, that is when you will need your digital converter box.

Also make sure the antennae booster is off if you are hooked to cable......it will be a little button on the TV hookup plate. Green lite off for cable, on for antennae.

I took the head unit out of the wall and hooded cable directly to it. I had zero signal. There must be a tuner somewhere. From other posts I've read, they claim there is no tuner in the Concertone VX500. There's got to be one somwhere, right? But by hooking cable up directly to the back I get no picture at all, which leads me to believe there is not a tuner in the vx500 head unit. And I don't think there is one in the concertone tv as it has no cable hook up at all. Thanks to all that have tried to help out so far. I'm still lost at this point though.

The tuner is built in to the Concertone receiver which is anolog so it will not receive digital signals. The tv screen you have is is basically a computer monitor hence no tuner.
You mentioned there is no antenna input so it is only a monitor
Easiest solution would be to buy a new flat screen tv as Concertone will die sooner or later.

The TV has different modes you have to select TV mode and it should work without a converter box if hooked up to cable or maybe it might have a cable or antenna mode also but i am not sure on that. I only hooked to cable once while in florida, but we use the tv without the concertone being on and also you maybe disconnected somewhere between the outside to the TV.Is it possible to connect it directly tothe tv or take it in the house and try it there

There is a CATV mode which should allow you to hook the cable the outside jack. Thats the way mine works.

I have the 500 also and I added a converter by removing the concertone and remove the antenna wire .it goes to the antenna in side of the converter and the ant. outfrom the converter goes to the concertone. The concertone does have a tuner and your tuner must be on channel 3 or 4 depending on your converter. Now you can use the converter to scan for stations and change stations. Mine works great. drilled a hole in the right side of the concertone cabinet and mounted the converter in the cabinet to the right. Good luck.
