TV/Cable Box

Is it possible for the control box that switches between antenna and cable to fail? I've lost most all channels. Same on three TV's. The button control for antenna lights up but I've lost all but two or three channels (in town - I regularly get 20-25). And only one (with much digital overlay) cable channel (signal is strong in the house). Connections are tight nothing has been tore down or set up. Just turned on each TV and all are the same (SUBAR). I even switched the cable leads and moved the splitter outputs to eliminate errors. Still have a good signal in the house. Tomorrow I'll straight line to one of the flat screens and check the cable strength but, that won't account for the loss of stations on the antenna side of it.

Sure, switch box contains electronics as well as the head of the bat wing amp can fail. first check for 12VDC leading to ant amp, the coax at the ant carries this power if it is available. Its furnished on the fuse for "entertainment".

Ok need to pulse this today. Straight lined the cable to the TV. No joy in that. While disconnecting my neighbor came over and explained that Charter Cable provider has as at the end of the month scrambled their signal and a "box" will be required to view their channels. For the past 5 years I have visited my son in Chicago and never had to "box" the cable before. It did however limit the number of channels. I did get about 70 of the lower channels. Now nothing...... Antenna it is now...

That's exactly what I was going to suggest - take the camper out of play and see what happens.

Sorry to hear that the rules changed. Does the campground offer boxes for rent/deposit?
