TV/DVD Problem! Jensen AWM965 DVD

I can't get sound from my Jensen DVD to play through the speakers on my Jensen TV. I have an A/V cable plugged from the output of the DVD player to the A/V input of the TV. I can get sound from my speakers (A & C). Been through setup on TV and DVD. Picture is fine.

Any suggestions?

Do you have the tv set for the right input?

Oh you can see the dvd playing but no sound out of the actual tv speakers only the surround speakers correct?

Yep. They're not really SS speakers. 2 mounted Inside cabin 2 mounted outside.

Hmmm .
I don't have your dvd unit but I seemed to have had this issue once .
Had something to do with volumes on one or the other.

How is the dvd connected to tv?

There's a video cable(yellow) running from DVD to TV. I had to install the Audio (red & white) from output of DVD to TV audio input.

Cranked volume on both units with ext speakers off.

Do you get sound through the tv with other inputs selected? If you don't check tv settings to be sure your internal tv speakers are turned on. Most newer tv's have a speaker on/off setting.

We are having problems with ours, in our new 2014 georgetown xl, my husband was not happy taking it off the wall, finding the wrong connectors on it! Also, the DVD is outside? None on the inside, real problems.

Figured out problem with owners manual. There is no aux output from DVD player to run TV speakers!
