Can anyone tell me what the two connections are for. One is labeled SAT 1 and the other one is labeled SAT 2?

Not 100% sure in your configuration but normally Sat one would connect to your antenna output one and connect to say your living room TV. The Sat 2 connection would connect to your antenna output two and connect to say your bedroom TV. Some antennas have a connection for each TV that will be watching different stations at the same time. Some antennas only have one connection and only allow 1 station to be watched at a time. Others multiplex the connections together and run on a single coax but require power to be fed to the antenna and a splitter for operating different TV and channels. So it all depends on the antenna that you have. RV will if equipped for Sat service many times will have two coax cables that directly feed the living room and bedroom.

Could you help providing more information. What trailer or RV. Do you have Sat Dish on the roof etc?

We have a FR Surveyor Cadet TT. We use a satellite antenna (portable) and connect to the outside satellite connection. I have it set up so that I run to a DVR and then to a A/B switch so that I can switch between Dish and local antenna or RV park service (if available). However, I only have Dish service in the living area and not on the bedroom TV, but can get the local/RV park service on the bedroom TV.


It is nearly a perfect setup, but I would like the ability to get Dish on the bedroom TV, but if I put a splitter on the Dish feed, you lose clarity/picture.


The main reason I am asking about the two connections described above, is that I see them and think I am missing an opportunity by not utilizing them.
