TV signal out on the patio

My MBS didn’t have an external entertainment center (i.e., TV) as an option, so I’d like to get a “portable” TV working out there on the patio. The 2016 2401S does have what appears to be a coax port on the awning side just aft of the entry door (see picture).
I thought I could just use a coax cable to connect that port to my Samsung TV. I had the over-the-air antenna booster on with good signal from a local channel showing on the LR TV. But I got nothing on the Samsung even though I cycled thru every channel on the TV (162 of them!).
Does anyone know what controls signal to this port, and what special I need to do to connect a TV to it?

Do a channel scan from the tv's menu

Could that be your "park cable IN" port?

@Bob: yea, channel scan works great. Used it in multiple locations last trip. The over-the-air signal was great. Cable lower quality ... go figure?

@rracer5: I guess that is part of the question. The outside of the RV has two coax port. One on the passenger slide, like I posted. And another on the driver side just forward of the shore electric connection point (see picture). No distinguishable markings on either to know what's in or out???

If you happen. to have a 50' coax, connect to outside port and take the other end inside along with an ohm meter and check inside connections ....using the free end as a jumper.

The1murphman, your post regarding the over the air signal being great and the cable signal a little worse is very much true. Over the air signals are true digital. When you get a good signal you get a great tv picture, however for cable the signal while digital is compressed, boosted, reduced etc to send it thru the lines and it is not always digital quality. If you need to use a digital converter box, most don't now days, this is taking a digital cable signal and converting it to analog.

Have you checked the coax connections for being snug?....No pic difference here....after pulling all plates and snugg'n them all up

Sorry, but it is true over the air digital is HD quality. Cable companies don't broadcast in HD unless you pay an upgraded fee and use an HD box. Most campgrounds that send a signal to a post is just SD and is probably not HD quality
