Washer Dryer combo
We're thinking of buying a washer dryer combo for our 5th wheel. ( Stackables won't fit). Any comment pro or con on the combos would be appreciated.

We got one with our new GT and have used it once. Wife was pleasantly surprised on how much of a load it would do. Best advice would be to not do a load before taking a nap or going to bed. That spin cycle can shake things up if you're laying down, otherwise don't notice.

If you're going to go with the Splendide combo, get the vented. The ventless takes forever to go through a cycle, is super fussy about how much detergent you use, and the dry part of the cycle wrinkles clothes so badly, even an iron won't take it out. We've had to rewash at home just to remove the wrinkles.

Agree with Karl4cat on the vented model, which we have.

Thanks all.
We've also heard that the run times are pretty long. Any comments on that?

I have the LG ventless in my Columbus. It average 3-4 hours to wash and dry a load, I can not just dry a load, I must wash first so the condensate pump will work to produce the heat for drying. I love it, but you need to do a load every day to keep up on clothes. I dont think I will ever own another camper without one. As for the 3-4 hours for a load, what else do you nhave when camping other than time, so it is no big deal.

I have the Spendide, and I'm not sure on run times, but I'm pretty sure you can use the dryer portion without running a wash cycle. You can also run just a rinse and spin cycle. This is helpful when winterizing.

That's correct AM. With the Splendide you can indeed run just a dry cycle.

Are the splendide units vented, I know my LG is not and it produces heat from the condensate pump, therefore you need water in order to produce the heat so you must wash then dry.

The Splendide can be had either as vented or non-vented condensate dryer like the LG. I have the non-vented condensate type like your LG and yes, it can run a dry only cycle.

Splendide does have both vented & unvented models. The unvented is like a dehumidifier and pours the water down the drain. I hear it adds heat into the RV. I put a vented model in my Wildcat but had some issues venting it.

We are about to pull the trigger on a new Georgetown 364TS order. It sounds like it comes with the Splendide vented, but I've heard so many stories now about how manufacturers change things up on a whim and install whatever product they can get at a discount that week that it has me a little worried. Is there any chance we order the W/D package and end up with a ventless model on the 364TS?
Also related, if we don't order with the W/D package, how hard is it to install after the fact? Are all the hookups, plumbing, drain, vent still in place on the 364 even if you don't order with that package?
Thanks!

We bought ours without, but had the dealer install it. It's the vented splendide model. If you order, stipulate that you want the vented model.
