Water heater leak from factory.

Picked up my new 2014
Lacrosse Luxury Lite in October. Left dealer for weekend shakedown run. After hooking everything up, water flooded from under the area hot water heater is in. Called dealer and he said he would schedule an appointment three weeks out. Nope, I'm dropping it Monday. No place to park it, he says. Not my problem. I drop it off (after looking and seeing there's a broke weld where the hot water exits the tank). Takes them a week to figure out what I saw in 5 minutes. He says come pick it up, we'll order a new hot water heater and have you bring it back in a month. I said no, it's staying. The factory and dealer both failed here. Again, no place to park. Again, not my problem. Funny, calls me back and says "we found one here and we'll put it in". They did (and the amount of silicon they smeared on fiberglass looks like a three year old did it). They winterized it, so now I'm waiting on spring to see if they even got it right.

My dealer pressure tested everything as part of PDI including drains.

I happened to stop by when they were prepping it because I needed some ambiguous measurement and stayed over an hour.

P.S. Tip the Tech well

DK, unfortunately I was there for an extended PDI, but...they handed me a flyer where the factory did a low and high pressure leak test on the water system. In any event, I don't think I would have caught it. Needed the shower to run for awhile before it started leaking.
