Cayman,
Remember you have to take the orange cable out of the bracket and put it in the separate sat socket.

I have the X2 also. Had mega problems getting good reception. Every tech from Dish advised me to connect directly from the X2 to the receiver. Do not go through the RV wiring. I was told the RV wiring has splitters and other impediments that are not always compatible with the Dish system.
I installed an exterior covered coax receptacle right through the exterior wall of the RV which is wired directly to my Wally receiver. Then I connect my X2 antenna directly to this coax connector. Works like a charm and no more problems. Usually boots up in a couple of minutes. Hope this helps.

Most RVs have two inputs. One is for cable and goes through splitters and the power booster. The other is a direct line to the faceplate behind the tv, with no splitters, similar to what you installed. Be sure the satellite dish is connected to the latter.

Interesting, my Cedar Creek has dedicated cables for Sat in the Living Rm and Bed Rm. What they didn't tell you is those Sat labeled connectors are connected to the cables that go to the roof for pre-wired Sat Dish. Took me a while to catch on to the idiots and re-label the other jacks used for Cable/Sat. All worked fine since then.
