Where is the Furnace exhaust vent?
We have a 2012 Forest River Forester 3011DS. Can anyone tell me where the furnace exhaust is on the outside? On the roof or on the side? Thanks.

Under the fridge you should find the furnace. It should be exhausted through the side just above the right rear tires & under the outside fridge vent.

X2, I once had a furnace motor destroyed when the daubers built a nest in the squirrel cage. The imbalance wrecked the bushings on the motor. A $100 fix but Ive had a screen on EVERYTHING since and no further problems.

Turn the heater on. Fan will start for 30 seconds before ignition. That will give you time to go outside and find where the noise and air is coming from.
Douglas, been through Maurice many time. Always get the boudin but don't care for Turduckens. Went to school in Abbeville and have good friends who live between Maurice and Lafayette.

lost heat?
Outside when my furnace was running, I couldn't believe how much heat was being ejected. Is it working properly? Is there no way to reclaim this heat?

That's exhaust from the furnace's combustion chamber. To recapture the heat you would have to build an exhaust system that re-entered the trailer and gave off the heat through an exposed exhaust pipe acting as a radiator before exiting the trailer. (Ben Franklin did this with his stove.)

Please don't try to reclaim the heat. Any leak would kill you with carbon monoxide.
