Whirlpool refrigerator

I have a 2016 forest river vibe 268rks with a whirl pool refrigerator.
We where told it will run off of 12v but it isn't working.
only when the trailer is pluged in to 120v that it turns on.
Should it be working on 12volts in dry camping or while towing?

I have four 6 volt batteries in mine, and my refrigerator will work 4 days on battery power. Is your batteries good.

The batteries are probably not wired right. When I first got my camper everything would work in the camper but the refrigerator, it turns out the batteries were not wired correctly

Have you checked your inverter? You have a inverter just to run the refrigerator. My inverter is a 1,000 watts and it has to be on, it just powers the refrigerator

Agreed, make sure that your inverter is turned on (on my coach it is a small black switch by the steps that glows green when it is running.

It is also possible that you have the same kind of inverter that I do and the GFI outlet on the back of the unit is popped. Standard household GFI, just push the reset button.

The inverter works only when the trailer is pluged in to 110v.
The inverter i have seems to cobvert 110v to 12v.and charge my batteries when pluged in tob110v.
Unless it's a dual inverter.
Il go check the gfi just in case and my batterries

What you are talking about is the converter, there is a difference, the inverter does not charge the batteries. The inverter just powers the refrigerator when not hooked up to shore power, like running down the road
