Some head units allow for XM receivers to be 'integrated' - as in the head unit controls the receiver.

For this to work your head unit and XM unit have to be compatible.

A 'generic' xm receiver can be plugged into most head units like an MP3 player and some have built in low power FM transmitters so you tune your radio to the proper station and get the XM signal over any FM receiver.

As to your situation...read the manual, call customer support, perhaps google it.

Still working on this (Cluster F---) the Space Shuttle has less wire than this! Called in the (Geek Squad) 14 year old neighbor kid. He showed me where the wires go,and where to go get the special adaptors. He has been a (BIG) help for this project. The calls to XM Teck Support were a (JOKE). Youroo!!
