ZX 700 use with SD Card

I have tried to view pictures that are on a SD card. I have the TV input set to video and I plug in the card. I then get a still picture of a beach that I assume is part of the programing of the zx700 because it is not on the SD card. Not sure what I am doing wrong but I just cant see ant pictures. I have a good video connection to the TV because when I install a DVD it works fine with the TV input on video. I also notice that I do not have ODS for "setup". Seems like I have something messed up here. I did do a reset on the zx700 but still no luck. The card I am using is a SDHC 4 GB. I have music and some pictures on it. Life will go on if I can't solve this but it was a rainy day project today to figure out the system.

Wally, The HDC SD 4G card is the problem.

That high density format is, unfortunately, not readable by the ZX-700/690 SD Reader. I had the same problem with my Photosmart printer (Over 2G SD and USB sticks not readable).

Try a 1G or less SD card if you want to watch content on that port.

And the same for the ZX-75 - limited to 2GiG SD cards.

Is that info printed in the manual? I looked thru it but found very little info.

The new Genesis (or ZX-800) is also limited to 2 gig cards or sticks.

Also be sure that you haven't changed the format of the stick or card. This one is mostly for Mac folks, but it's worth repeating.
