OK I figured out how to get the unit out of the woodwork. I found a computer to "donate" a fan and tested it for quietness. I can cut a fresh air hole in the back of the cabinet and have cool air blowing directly on the back of the concertone. There's plenty of 12 vdc back there. There's also pre-exsisting holes for the warm air to vent out of.
The only remaining question is switching the fan on and off, and that depends on me figgering out the amplifier relay. If I can I'll use that, otherwise it's off to Radio Shack.
