ZX700 DVD troubles (SOLVED)

Having problems with the DVD picture on my ZX700. While playing there is wavy lines going through the screen. It works fine for awhile then goes bad again. Works fine with Ant. and cable just the DVD. Anybody else have this problem and what can I do to solve it? I just bought the camper in March so it should still be under warranty. Should I just bring it back to dealer? Any thoughts would be helpful.

Warranty! Just get it replaced. Most are crap anyway. Replaced ours and the replacement fixed one problem but has another. Will be upgrading to something reliable in the future.

I really hate the fact that these systems aren't HDMI compatible. I have a nice 32 inch flat screen and have to watch a picture in 480i. I have a 2011 model camper so it would seem it would have an updated system.

What is your source that you're watching in 480i? If it's DVD you won't get better than 480p no matter what kind of cable you use. If you have a satellite receiver just run the hdmi cable straight to the TV for an HD picture.

I'm sorry you are correct it's 480p. Don't have satelite either just over the air and cable. I think I will call the dealer and have them look at the system.

Never ceases to amaze me when people look on here for answers to problems that are readily fixed by their dealer under warranty. Isn't that what a warranty is for? If it doesn't work, or is broken, take it to your dealer.

I think most people are looking for a quick fix rather than having to hook it up and take it back to the dealer. My dealer I use is 2 hrs away. It's a PIA to take it back to them. Plus some people have jerks for dealers and don't want to face them again.

LFugate, exactly my point! It never ceases to amaze me that some people can be such smart *****'s instead of just giving advise. We come to this forum with the hopes someone had the same problem and maybe there was a simple fix. If not we can hook up and bring it back which sometimes is not a simple thing.

Who said anything about negativity? Isn't your dealer your trusted source of repairs? Especially about a component that not a lot of us have much experience in repairing? If you don't want to take it your dealer, fine. Then PM Bob Fields. He is your SECOND trusted source for Concertone support/replacement.
