One of the first moderator lessons we learn has to do with deleting the OP(first post). If the OP is deleted, it deletes the entire thread.


Members have like a 120 minute edit window, but I don't think they can actually delete an OP in case there were replies from other members that would also get deleted. You should be able to delete a post IN a thread, but not one STARTING a thread.

I used the test account to indeed verify what I stated above. You cannot delete the OP, but can a reply post in a thread (as you can see from the screenshots below there is no deletion option in the OP but is one in the reply post). So all is good here and working as designed.
