When we were in B/H parking was about like Gattlinburg,Tenn. NONE! So we parked our truck at the (American Legion) 2blocks away,they are only open 1 Day a month for Meetings? Youroo!!

Just returned from 2 weeks trip. Stayed in Blackwood and Seawall in the National Park. Both had free split firewood each day - nice touch. One loop of the pull thru sites at Seawall is basically a double site separated by a white line in the gravel. Avoid that loop, everything else was great. First trip to Acadia but not the last.

Tweiland we stayed at Narrows Too 2 weeks ago great place some site have fire rings others have one at the end of row . We took the shuttle bus in to Bar harbor and it stops at all the campgrounds and Narrows Too is by far the nices one

We were opposite the lessor ocean site (without trees) and the view was very nice. The sites are back in but most of the motorhomes pulled straight in so the view was out the windshield. That being said, you need to make sure you have long enough sewer, water and electric cables/hoses to reach under your coach to the services. I really liked Narrows Too Campground especially since it was not in the hussle bussle of Bar Harbor. Hope you enjoy it

Yep....June is open season when it comes to black flies and mosquitoes. In fact, the mosquitoes use Route 1 as a landing strip, if that gives you an idea of the size.
July and August will be the busier months in terms of traffic and amount of people, especially in and around Bar Harbor. Weekends are super crowded. The warmest weather will be end of July historically but also may bring morning fog that can linger.
End of September will bring the fall colors and Maine's landscape becomes spectacular, starting in the north and progressing south, peaking in mid-October. Nearly all CG's are closed by mid-October or at a minimum discontinue water at the sites.
The sights, the beauty of Maine, the food....there is so much to offer here. Plan away and have fun when you're here!

Thanks for all the info on Maine we are going to be there last week of September or first week of October. That is why we never go to northern Mn. or Ws. I here the mosquito's and black flies will eat you alive.
