Alexandria Bay to Lake Placid

We're planning to visit the 1000 island area in late July then travel to Lake Placid. Any suggestions on best route? We'll be in our 31ft.class C.

From A bay just get yourself over to rt3 takes you all the way and a very nice ride

There's no direct connection from A-Bay to State Route 3, but if you head south on I-81 take exit 48 (SR 342) east about miles directly to SR3. I agree that SR 3 is a nice route to Lake Placid.
