Stayed here the week of Thanksgiving...got there on a Monday so we had many campsites to choose from.
The 1.25 mile 25% grade entrance road was a little menacing at first but the diesel climbed it with ease

View from nearby 56 room Lodge balcony...restaurant Buffett was a great plus when we didn't cook at the camper!

Gorgeous place! Thanks for sharing it. Seems like it was a peaceful place too at the time.

We're at 112' elevation at home & Amicalola is 2000' in elevation.

So, what you're saying is: Going uphill requires more gas? Dude, I'm bored, so will respond to anything right now. LOL

Very quiet area due to the town & surrounding communities are far from the larger populated cities...great area to explore!

Hey cajun,
The wife and I camped there in a tent over Christmas about 10 years ago, had the whole place to our self. We did wonder about getting a rig up there. We now have a place up the road in Mccaysville just haven been up there in a while.....

Neat...We saw about 3 tent couples while we were there but most nights they were in their cars due to night temps in the low 20's!
I appreciated our camper a little more after seeing those folks bear those cold temps ))
