We just stayed at Greenbrier last week and loved everything about it! The staff is super friendly, every spot on the creek is shaded, the bath houses are super clean and the spots are spacious compared to everywhere else we have stayed in this area! We usually make at least 4 trips a year to the Gatlinburg/PF area and this is definitely where we will stay from now on. A little advice....it's a much easier drive coming in from the north down 321 instead of having to pull the camper through town.

I wasnt clear about 416 when mentioning Greenbrier. Access is via 321 the the park is just north on 416. The drive up 416 is only for the gorgeous views along the river. I rode the scoot down there one day and think this ranks up there as one of the prettiest places I rode this year... lush cool shade ... gurgling river . . winding road ... wow! Sorry, this has nothing to do with Anchors Down.

Check out Bear Cove campground in Pigeon Forge. It's just past the KO?a on the right side of the road about a mile from Dollywood. All backin's but FHU with trash disposal just a few steps from most sites. It's up in a U-shaped valley, so sort if isolated and very quiet but still really close to everything. Great folks, very clean; we stay there every visit. Each end of the campground has its own pool, bath house and laundry. Highly recommended!

If you drink wine, there are 5 local wineries near you. They offer a wine tasting tour daily at each one. If you visit 3 you get a gift. If you visit all 5 you get a second gift. The visits don't have to be in one day. It's a lot of fun.

We went to Up the Creek for a week last month. Nice place. Plan on going back this fall and staying at Anchor Down. Looks super nice.

We have tried several CG in the Gattlinburg area and always come back to Twin Creeks CG. A great place and on the Trolly Line. Clean and well maintained. Very friendly staff..

We generally stay in Pigeon Forge either at Creekside or Walden's Creek, $20 and $19 respectively with PA. Both are FHU and rated highly in RVPark reviews. We find $49 to be a bit expensive but hey, if you can afford and like it, more power to you. Have a good time.

So the OP starts the thread about how they're enjoying Anchor Down, and all everyone wants to respond is where else they could have gone that's cheaper or they prefer better? I would love to see\hear more about Anchor Down, I'm planning on going there next year!!
