Everything I have seen this far shows this is a nice park. I think it would be even more enjoyable with a boat too. Hope you enjoy the stay!

I looked at the campground and it was a little pricey for me, it's a pretty campground just costs to much for me. Have fun, I like Pigeon Forge. Check out Log Cabin Pancake House or Old Mill Restaurant

Were on an interior back in site #130 and don't feel $49/ night is outrageous for FHU and curbside trash service. Staff is super friendly. Haven't hit the pool yet but our friends have and they love it. If we come back this way we will definitely stay here again.

I can take my trash off to save a few bucks. I'm glad you like the campground, people like Pine Mountain campground. I can find something cheaper. Have fun

Considering Virginia State parks run about $35/night for w/e only and most private parks in my area are over $50 for FHU and not half as nice as this place I have no issues.

For $20 / night I stayed at Douglas Lake headwaters site 53 right on the lake with wonderful shade. Not all sites are shaded this well, so check it out first. Next time in that area I want to try Greenbrier near Gatlinburg just off of 321. The Pigeon River splits right around the CG; so its close to G-burg but on a beautiful river. You have to drive 416 that runs north to Sieverville, gorgeous.

Sites in Anchor Down range from $49 and up to $139 for a double site with a fireplace and lots of level concrete. Premium single sites go for $79. They charge if you use your own cart and also rent carts. No shade at all, but a really nice pool and lake views. Its near Dandridge and a good 45 minutes from Gatlinburg with light traffic. Traffic in Sieverville can be bad.

Were falling in love with Gatlinburg after only a couple days, Pigeon Forge....not so much. We may look for something in Gatlinburg next time we visit the area.

DW and I go to some nice campgrounds but we don't swim and we don't use the bathrooms and we have our own washer/dryer. What we need is hookups, we don't want a shaded spot as we have two A/C and trees would block our satellite. But to each his own. My DS brought a camper and about the first campground he reserved was FT Wilderness, they have a small child, he thinks nothing of the high prices. I'm retired, he is working. I like the Pigeon Forge area, they have some great places to eat at and its close to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Enjoy your trip, I wish I was there
