Thumbs up Anderson SC KOA

Hey everyone!!! Just got back from our first outing in the TT. We decided to stay kinda local just to make sure everything was gonna be ok with the unit. We searched around and found the Anderson SC KOA. Now I had stayed in KOAs in the past so I wasnt too fearful. We made our reservations online and then printed off the campsite map. I called the campground ahead of time to find out what site we were going to be on and spoke with Kris. She was so very excited that we were coming to "visit her". Well, we loaded the TT and the 'burb and away we went.

upon arrival we met Kris and she was just as cheerful in person as she was on the phone. She signed us in and then said follow me and jumped on her golf-cart to escort us to our site. (very nice in my book) . She took us to campsite #11 (i will ask for this site EVERYTIME we go back!!! She hung around until I got the TT where I wanted it, and then said come us see if you need anything.

First night..... Well as some of you know we had some really bad weather come through the south east this weekend. So I sat up till about 1:30 am watching the weather channel and feeling like I was back on the cruise ship lol. No leaks!!!! yeah!!! We were all pretty well shot after staying up and playing "cars"Uno so we slept in a little bit saturday morning. after getting up and fixing breakfast (the stove worked!! another YEAH) we decided to go see what was around the campground (even though we only live 30 minutes away) The ladies and gentleman at the front desk offered up loads of ideas. We decided to go see Hartwell Dam. Amazing! That night went very smooth and we cooked HOBO's outside on the charcoal. Went down to the bathhouse and all had a wonderful shower...plenty of hot water (guys use the shower stall farthest from the door)(women, same thing) you will thank me later lol. Got up the next morning(sunday) and took our time getting breakfast cooked, and packed up since the checkout time is 12 and since we are used to being tent campers we tend to get started very early on tear down lol.

As we were leaving the kids were hollering about wanting to play on the playground "One last time daddy" so we stopped to check out and asked if we could park for a few minutes, the ladies said absolutely, you let those kids play. Made it home safely that afternoon.

Currently, the 'burb is still hooked up to the TT and we are patiently (not really) waiting on wednesday to get here so we can head out to the next campsite at Paris Mnt State Park.

So as far as our experience with Anderson SC KOA....

they get 2thumbs way up!!!, 5 Stars!!! excellent rating from us!

sorry so long,

Another wonderful campground in the are is Four Paws Kingdom in Rutherfordon, NC near Lake Lure. Dedicated mainly to adults and dogs thia place is well run by a German Couple. Chck their web ioste for details. We stayed here for five days over Easter with our Shih Tzu and I think he had more fun that we did.

Five Stars!!!

We are taking out maiden voyage in our new Surveyor this weekend. Going to Dan Nicholas Park in Salisbury NC. Been to this park before and it's top notch. Fairly close to home also. Looking forward to it.
