The wife and i will be heading to our trailer in Chincoteague. don't know if we will hit the beach on Assateague (Va.portion). we'll have to see how crowded it will be. Since we have a boat,instead of going to the beach we have been "beaching" at a small sandbar in the Chincoteague channel. we are able to take our dogs there and its a lot less crowded.
this is the sandbar,with the southern tip of Assateague in the background.If you get to Chincoteague,there are shuttles that can take you to the sandbar for a minimum fee.they make hourly trips,so you can go early and stay until the last shuttle.
Are you visiting the Md. portion or the Va. portion ?
