April getaway

We are thinking of getting some early travels in this spring( last two weeks of April) and looking at beach areas of North/south Carolina or north Florida. First off,can anyone comment on what we should expect weather wise of this area and second, any good suggestions of places to stay. This would be the first time bringing MH down this far into the US ( we are north of the 49th) . Any help would be great , thanks.

Love Cape Hatteras NC. Great that time of year. Check out Frisco Woods campground or Camp Hatteras campground. Cannot go wrong with either. Great seafood, fantastic beach. Take the free ferry ride to Ocracoke Island. Do a lot of sight seeing or do nothing. ( I guess you can tell I like it there )

Camp hatteras and rodanthe koa both get excellent reviews. Myrtle beach is always a nice getaway. We have stayed at pirateland and liked it. I hear great things about ocean lakes and myrtle beach state park as well. All 3 are pretty much right next to each other.

I live in central NC about 3-4 hrs from the shore. Today it was 75 degrees and partly cloudy. I would expect 70's-80's for the high and a low possibly as low as 40's-50's at night so for you northerners that would be swimsuit weather.

I will be in Hatteras for a week starting April 10. Weather can be kinda finicky this time of year. Bring shorts, long pants and sweat shirts. You could use them all, depending on the weather. The Atlantic will still be to cold ( in my opinion) for swimming. But the beach will be great, always a breeze. Just cannot wait. This time of year and the fall are the best time of year for me, before the crowds and kids show up. It can still be rather cool at night. July and August get steamy with the ocean breeze and pop up thunder storms. Just typical beach weather. Hope you make it down, have a safe trip.
