Assateague Island , MD

Just home to VT from Assateague National Seashore, MD...still a little early in the year, but got one good day in with sun and horses to greet us right in our campsite. Ask for spaces on the ocean and enjoy the sand dunes and listen to surf at night. Sites on the bayside more wooded. NO hookups, but cold shower and pit toilets were clean and available. THe Aframe survived huge storm with high winds and gusts and heavy rain one night..the lightening was actually beautiful...first trip out with the new camper and all met our requirements..big bed( added 2" memory foam) stove works, grill outside hooks on and easy to use...we be happy and on to next adventure !

We love Assateague but have not yet had our RV there. Tent camping all the time with family and Scouts. It is on our short list!!
