Atlanta Airport Parking

I'm just wondering if anyone has had to pick up someone from the Atlanta Airport while pulling the travel trailer? I know I can't lug it through the airport but is there parking available at the airport or near the airport where I can temporally leave my RV while going to pick up someone at the airport?

I think l would pull into the big metro station parking lot just south of the airport on I-75 and let my friend take the short metro ride down there.

They have buses picking up and dropping off all the time. I don't see a problem pulling through with a TT for a pick up.

Physically, it's big enough to drive through, but with all the traffic and construction I wouldn't try it.

Marta has a train station inside the airport, it will cost them $3 ($1.50 fare and $1.50 for a Marta card.) to ride the train, have them go to the first stop which is the College Park station. Have them call you when they get to the station, meanwhile about 1.5 miles north on Main St. is a grocery store, you can hang out there. Then, you drive down Main, pick them up at the curb, and head off.

Great ideas on the Marta pick up. Not being from the big city I would haver thought about mass transit. Thanks for the inputs...

Groome Transportation has a limo service that can take your friends and luggage to points as far south as Macon. Pretty nice service, I've used it as far north as Dalton.

I know this is an old thread, but for future guys...

I've pulled our boat thru Atlanta Airport and New Orleans Airport. Pulled a huge dual axle trailer thru Denver and wouldn't think twice about dragging the camper to grab someone off the curb. Maybe I am just used to the Atlanta Airport. So long as whomever you are picking up is at the curb and ready to go, it should be fine. At Atlanta, have them walk to the beginning of the pick up sidewalk which is the ticketing end. It's easier to stop at the front end.

Another option would be.. There is a pretty big shopping center on Camp Creek at 285. Park the rig there and have them take a cab. I have also waited at the Convention Center on Camp Creek before they introduced cell phone lots. A lot of the MARTA lots are fairly small to meander a camper thru.

Denver was cake.. I asked the police if we could hang out on the far left side of the drop off deck. Even hung out with the police and chatted while waiting on my wife and son to come out of baggage claim.
