The Tahoe in the pic also has low profile tires on it, which would really have a low weight capacity
That trailer looks to be in the 30ft range, I estimate at around 8000 lbs., toque weight of 800 to 1000 lbs. The Tahoe was way over loaded.

Is that not a Suburban?? I'd also like to point out that it doesn't appear as though a lack of power is what caused this wreck (flat ground, no one else appears to be involved). Your variations in tow rating are typically only based on engine and cooling variations, not things such as tires, brakes, etc. BTW, I checked the 2014 Chevrolet towing guide, and they have ratings as high as 8500 on the Tahoe and 8000 on the Suburban. This TV was easily capable of towing this trailer with a good WD hitch properly installed, IMHO.

I always hate these threads because everybody thinks they know what happened when in reality we don't. It could have been user error, improper hitch, tv, blow out, cut off by an idiot, avoiding an animal or item on road, winds or any number of possibilities. Remember there are 3/4 tin SUVs. Also remember there are lightweight long tt. And yes tires can greatly affect your capabilities if they aren't rated for the load.
