Has anyone stayed at Bayou Segnette State Park in Westwego,LO.We stayed there as a temp area, as our plans changed the day before we left.We were in a tent.WE thought it was close to alot of the things to do in New Orleans.We were on a scouting trip for roads and gas stations for next winter.
I can't give you information about Bayou Segenette, but I can give you some information about another park in the New Orleans area. Fountainblue State park is about 45 min from New Orleans and it is on Lake Pontchatrain. It is woodsy and I enjoy the deer you can see wandering around the park at night. It has beautiful oak trees. To get to New Orleans you take the causeway bridge, it is a 24 mile bridge going over Lake Pontchatrain.
