We just got back from N Myrtle beach and we checked out several campgrounds while there. You already mentioned 3 of them but we also liked Myrtle Beach Travel Park. I've also read good things about Myrtle Beach State Park. I rode through Apache Campground and it wasn't for me.

We got a trip planned later this summer to Ocean Lakes. Can't wait!

2 well known ones in NC are the koa in rodanthe and camp hatteras. The state park beach campgrounds in NC have little to no hook ups.

What are your dates. Ocean lakes always has cancellations. They have over 900 campsites. Also, you could switch sites during your stay. I would call them every day and maybe twice a day. Reason they will get cancellations is they don't penalize you as long as you are there 1 night during your reservation.

I ended up finding a spot at Ocean Lakes. It only took a week of calling 2-3 times a day until a snatched up a cancelation : )

The KOA in Myrtle beach is nice too. Very wooded and Shady and a 4 block walk to the beach but they also have a beach shuttle from the park.
