Best Route Cooperstown NY to White River Junction VT

Hi Everyone,

Need a little help choosing a route from Cooperstown NY to White River Junction VT. I have looked at several but all seem to take me on a trip through the mountains on state routes. Does not bother me to tow in mountains if roads are good but I have no knowledge of these roads or area since it is my first time here. If those of you with knowledge of a good route to take would chime in with the route I would appreciate the help. Towing a 35 ft fiver with a Ford Super Duty Diesel.

Thanks

Kevin

You only have three routes to take.
Two take you thru the mountains and are not interstates.
The interstate 90 to I-91 is about 100 miles longer but you still have hills to climb.
If it was me I would enjoy the trip thru the mountains and slow down and enjoy the beautiful drive and scenery.

From COOPERSTOWN you could take rte 20 to interstate 88 but I would just assume drive state route 28 south the 15 miles south to interstate 88 and then easy to Albany. 28 is a decent 2 lane state road, not a lot of hills and well paved. The rest would be interstate

Not too much construction between Oneonta and Albany. Most is between Binghamton and Oneonta
