Hello everybody I am thinking about booking a trip to bethpage campground in va. And I was wondering what anybody thought that has been there before? Is it super crowded on non holiday weekends and how about the beach and other attractions what are y'all's thoughts? Thanks for any info.. Or if you happen to have other campgrounds you like down near the bay? Thanks again
we spent a week there last summer and loved it! checked in on sunday and left on saturday. during the week really no crowds and the kids loved the beach an waterpark. things became more crowded as people checked in thursday but friday the kids were worn out from all the water and we did some other things wtih them
I also stayed last summer. You site will probably be grass, but level. Stayed during the week and not crowded at all. Pool was great. Paved roads for bike rides. Staff very nice. The section we stayed in there were not a lot of trees which we like. I do recommend it.
It sounds like a great place to go.. We just bought our first camper last year and the only place we went so far was holiday travel in va beach. We really liked it but we are looking for something a little closer to charlottesville for long weekends.. :-)
We went last year for a non holiday weekend and boy was it crowded! However it is a very nice camp ground! They have so much to do there we stayed in the camp ground the whole time and didn't go out but we had a group of us and we are planning another weekend this summer. We loved that they have people in golf carts to take you right to your site and will help you back up if needed! Daily site side trash pick up too.
