I'm in that area right now at Breezy Hill RV park in Pompano Beach, FL. Your closest options are down here or up in Deerfield Beach.
Frankly, I severely dislike Breezy Hill. Their spots suck to park in with the way they're shaped and, in season, the 500-site campground is 95% French-Canadians who refuse to speak English. Utilities have been fine, though.
Breezy Hill and Highland Woods are side-by-side sister campgrounds. I frankly don't understand why they're separate. They share an office (at Breezy Hill's entrance) but have separate entrances off of the main road.
I've wanted to try out John Prince Campground, but they only take reservations 90-days ahead of time for non-residents of the county. It's in the opposite direction to Florida Atlantic University but still only 20 minutes away. I've heard good things about it.
