Boca Raton

My wife and I will be traveling to Boca Raton in January 2020 to babysit our newest granddaughter for the month. Does anyone have a recommendation for a nice RV Park for us to stay at for that month?

I know it’s peak season then, so I want to make reservations early to ensure a space when we get there. We will be pulling our 2510S Rockwood Mini-Lite so we don’t need a huge space, just full hookups, a clean and secure park, and relatively close to Florida Atlantic University area.

Thanks in advance. This is the farthest we’ve traveled with our TT, and hope to see the south on our way there and back.

I'm in that area right now at Breezy Hill RV park in Pompano Beach, FL. Your closest options are down here or up in Deerfield Beach.

Frankly, I severely dislike Breezy Hill. Their spots suck to park in with the way they're shaped and, in season, the 500-site campground is 95% French-Canadians who refuse to speak English. Utilities have been fine, though.

Breezy Hill and Highland Woods are side-by-side sister campgrounds. I frankly don't understand why they're separate. They share an office (at Breezy Hill's entrance) but have separate entrances off of the main road.

I've wanted to try out John Prince Campground, but they only take reservations 90-days ahead of time for non-residents of the county. It's in the opposite direction to Florida Atlantic University but still only 20 minutes away. I've heard good things about it.

Wow, that was fast! Thanks so much for the information. Our son lives in a condo that’s about 5 minutes walking distance east of FAU, and having only been in the area once, I don’t know much about the geography of the region. I will look up the parks you mentioned and see what I can find out.

Do you know if there are stay limits at the John Prince Campground? Since my son is a county resident, he could make the reservations for me.

Thanks again!

He can make reservations 120 days in advance. MARK IT ON YOUR CALENDAR AND CALL.

I think you can stay a good long time there. I called them looking to spend December and it wasn't an issue BUT there wasn't a monthly discount; just daily * number of days.
