Boston to Maine

Going from VA to Boston area and then to Maine. Any suggestions on RV sites around Boston, Portland and Bar Harbor?

We really enjoyed Sebago Lake campground outside Portland. What a beautiful area. Portland is great.
Also make sure you check out some of the lighthouses in the area.

We were out there in the fall of 2014, with a fall wedding that we had to attend and decided to see the colors out east than.
Se we choose a campground that was in driving distance to several areas near the Boston, CAP Cod area and Providence RI. The campground was Boston South CAP Cod a KOA campground in Middleboro. In Maine, we stayed at Wild Duck Campground in Scarborough, ME. Wild Duck has full hook-ups but is not kid friendly adults only, which is very quiet and peace full.

We stayed in Minuteman CG in Boston and really enjoyed it. In Bar Harbor we stayed in Narrows Two in Trenton. Good campground and great location.

Camden State Park in Camden Maine is very nice and a lot of the sites are huge (electric and water sites for cheap). Walking around Camden center is nice and the area is great for Kayaking. Acadia is also very nice in the Bar Harbor area but that is dry camping - at lest the park we stayed in. Cadillac mountain offers great hiking (you can drive up too) and lots of paces to ride bikes - the carriage roads around the park are great. Sebago is not was it was 15 years ago - mostly seasonal now and too many golf carts buzzing around for me.
