In case you haven't made up your mind, Fort Yargo is a great State Park and you are only 15 minutes from Buford. I love in Auburn, which is between the two. We camp at Ft. Yargo several times a year.

We've camped at several Georgia State Parks. Favorites are Moccasin Creek and Vogel. Watsons Mill is not far from where we live, and that is a nice little get away. You?

I agree about Don Carter. Sites are "domed", hump in middle or tilted one side or the other. We had a site and counted 35 small trees planted. One was about 10' tall and was already against my awning. We will not go back.
