Calling All Michiganders! Need Campground Recs

I am looking for a nice campground near Bay City. I have stayed several times at Bay City State Park and have no issue whatsoever, DH wants to try something else though. We are looking for a place to stop for 1 or 2 nights on our way home from Hoeft State Park.

There's Riverside Campground in Sterling, Jellystone Campground in Frankenmuth, Genesee Otter Lake Campgrounds.

We are driving home from Hoeft State Park and we live in macomb county. We are looking for a halfway point in between to stay at. Bay City is around half way for drive times.

There's Tawas Point SP, but obviously not super close to Bay City. There's also Tawas River RV park. Sorry I'm not much help, I don't camp in that area.
