We can vouch for Pioneer, we spent 12 nights there in May after taking delivery of our new Creek. Great owners, nice campground, worth the effort to get there? you betcha! Coming back all the way from Spring TX & soon too!

David-o,
May I ask what you chose in this area and how you liked it?

Dave,

We ended up using KOAs for all of our overnights traveling to and from the FROG Rally. Our first night we stayed at the Williamsport South / Nittany Mtn KOA in New Columbia, PA. It's reasonably close to I-80 and a very nice campground. We didn't walk the grounds because we weren't there long enough, but what we did see was clean and well maintained and the staff was very friendly.

We used a different route to come home from the Rally. Our last night on the road we stayed at the Kinzua East KOA in Bradford, PA. We had some time to walk the grounds here. Nice place, friendly staff. Most of the campsites are in a field which was very nice. Other sites are in the woods which to me seemed a little dark and difficult to navigate. I guess it's a matter of personal preference.
